Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

I am trying to get the code for my deskjet so I can subscribe to Instant Ink. The Printer information page says it's hooked to wifi but when I try to get the code it says it's not connected. What am I doing wrong

I see that you have trouble claiming the printer, follow the steps from the document HP Printers - Having Trouble Claiming Your Printer? to isolate and resolve the issue.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
