Instant Ink counts unprinted pages

HP Recommended
OfficeJet Pro 6970
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Warning: today I made the experience, that the printer (OfficeJet Pro 6970) counts even unprinted pages for Instant Ink:

I printed 9 pages (No. of outputted papers) - each direct from Firefox to printer, at 2 pages the scaling was, that the print would be 2 pages, but I selected to print only page 1 - which was done of printer.

In Instant Ink now, I see 11 pages counted - so it counts even the unprinted 2nd page!

I don't know, what the root cause is for that (printer driver? / firefox?) - but I don't want to try it on my account at even bigger web pages! (don't delete my paid pages).

So may be it's recommended, first print web pages to PDF (the wanted pages) and then print the PDF to printer - to overcome such false counting.

Did someelse made the same expierence?

Regards, Martin
