I am old, I use a cartridge/toner maybe once a year.  I received an instant ink last April and cancelled my subscription due to the fact that I just don't print that much.  I have now installed the ink that was sent last April (2024) and error message appeared that it is an incompatible cartridge.  I called HP and learned that by cancelling the subscription, the ink will not work. ???  Can someone explain the "power" HP has that makes this ink cartridge not work.  This seems ridiculous.  Will any cartridge work?
