I subscribe to Instant Ink. I leave my HP Envy Inspire 7955e AIO turned on 24/7. It's connected to my home Wi-Fi, which has an all-you-can-eat broadband service. It prints flawlessly almost every time, so I have no reason to suspect trouble with my connection to the Internet. Even so, I've gotten at least two emails from Instant Ink that nag me about keeping my printer turned on. These emails claim that they've lost touch with my printer.
Now, I do have a habit of leaving paper and other objects lying on top of the printer. Could this habit in some way impede the signal between my printer and my router? My router sits two rooms away—about 15-20 feet—but nothing about my day-to-day computer usage suggests a weak signal.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?
