Product: HP DeskJet 2723e All-in-One Printer

I get a failure to reset my HP Instant Ink account password when opening account from the printer dashboard.

The Instant Ink site recommends a separate account from the printer account but these accounts appear to be linked.

 I have only one printer registered. Is the lack of multiples the reason that the printer and Instant Ink account are non modal? Thanks
