Instant ink cartridge error

HP Envy 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am a  HP instant ink cartridge user since 2016.  My Envy 7640 has suddenly stopped working with the message Your Ink Cartridge needs to be re-installed.  It is the color cartridge and  have reinstalled many times, one time the printer started working again but then stopped.  I don't know how to solve this problem other than buying a new printer.....which I don't think will be HP.  I've tried the Virtual Assistant which was NO HELP and VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Also, have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
