Evening,

I'm replacing my old and now defunct printer. I subscribe to HP Instant Ink and previous post and HP support say "Do not cancel your HP Instant Ink subscription. The new printer has 9 months free HP Instant Ink.

My questions are:

What happens to my existing HP Instant Ink subscription when I replace my old printer?

Does HP automatically stop my payments for 9 months or do I continue to pay and get refunded?

Look forward to your replies.

Hi @NickC01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you want to replace the printer in HP instant ink account, I am glad to assist you.

  1. Make sure the new printer is HP Instant Ink compatible. If you plan to purchase one, look for the HP Instant Ink logo on the box. For warranty replacements, you will automatically be sent a compatible printer.
  2. Do not cancel your current Instant Ink plan.
  3. Once you have the new printer, log in to your account

And once you replace your old printer with a new one on your existing instant ink account, make sure to select the option HP+ services while registering to get the 9 months of free ink as offered.

Once done check if the 9 months free ink option applied to your new printer once registered., Make sure to take a screenshot of the offer you received for your new printer in case the concerned team requires you to update the same.

  1. at hpinstantink.com and click Enroll/Replace Printer.
  2. Then follow the steps to complete enrollment of your new printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
