Instant ink trial start

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I've bought a new hp printer, registered for instant ink and should have a 4 month trial. I have recently received the first cartridges but have not installed them yet as I am using other cartridges that I bought whilst awaiting delivery of the hp ink. My account shows "hp ink installed " and my remaining trial period now says 3 months remaining. I thought the trial started when the instant ink was installed. Is this correct? 

The virtual assistant is hopeless and I couldn't get through to the chat. Please advise.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Instant Ink query. 

 

Looks like you have an Instant Ink ready printer. Your account is activated when you enroll the printer in Instant Ink. The set up cartridges you receive become Instant Ink cartridges once the enrollment is complete. 

 

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
