Instant ink

Hi,

 

We have a problem with a used printer. I would like to change the instant ink account connected to the printer, but the same error message appears always "Printer claimed on another account".  We asked the former owner if he aleady deleted the printer from his account and he did. What can we try next?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Make sure the printer is deleted from the old account. Only then you can enroll the printer with a new account in Instant Ink.

 

Restart the web services on the printer.

Refer to this document to know how to turn it off. Wait for a while and turn it back on and then try claiming the printer.

If the issue persists, contact the HP Instant Ink team in your region for further assistance.
