Job type:  Print Large Job

In general, the two actions have naught to do with one another.

That is, the job is not stopping because you are being charged by the page (presumably for reason of being subscribed to Instant Ink).

If you would like to challenge or get help with the number of subscription pages you are printing, contact Instant Ink Support.  Reference:   HP Instant Ink support

Large print jobs, like other jobs, can fail for a number of reasons.

Jobs might fail due to one or more of the following (not an all inclusive list):

  • Poor network connection between printer and device submitting the job - common.  For example, problems might be due to an old router, poor or incomplete network configuration, too many connections to the router at one time, weak signal (for Wireless)
  • Lack of resource on the printer -- For example, some printers have small memory and cannot handle large jobs
  • Lack of resource on the device (computer, tablet, phone) -- For example, tiny memory, device too busy doing other tasks
  • If a job fails each time on one particular page -- and you have eliminated the job size as the source of the problem -- consider that the data on that page is not translating correctly.  Perhaps print using Adobe Reader and select to print the PDF file as an Image.

Unless you have a means of actually resolving the source of the problem (poor connection, lack of resources), try / consider:  Break up the job into smaller pieces.

For example, Use "Page Range" to print a few pages at a time.

First job, print Pages 1-3

Next job, print the next group, for example Print pages 4-6

and so on...

NOTE - "2-sided" Printing -

Make sure your break your job into page range groups that include front / back of each page.
