I moved from Germany to the USA, and now I can't use Instant Ink.
I never used it in Germany, but my account always logs into the German website. My HP.com account is set to the USA. I even changed my printer's location to the USA. However, that Instant Ink website gives me ZERO options except to subcribe exclusively in Germany.
I can log in and out, and that is it. There is no link to my account or anything of the sort.

How do I get Instant Ink in the USA?
The printer is compatible and all.

@MariaLux, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

As you have moved to a different country, you will have to delete/remove the printer from the old account and create/enroll the printer under a new account.

For more info, refer to - Enrolling in HP Instant Ink

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply, but it's not like I can do that.... not without some guidance.
There is no other account, not on HP.com. This is the account -- the one I am using here right now in fact. And this account is set to the USA. The printer itself is set to USA.
What does seem to exist is a German HPsmart account?
Now, how do I get rid of it? I don't speak German. Not that it matters much, since there is no option to manage that account at all. I can log in and out, and that is it. And the app just redirects to HPsmart.com.

Honestly, this is just messy. The accounts are linked, but not really. They are linked just enough to create this mess, and not enough to solve it by simply ajusting my HP.com settings -- or deleting that account and setting up a new one. And they are not independent enough that HPSmart even has any sort of profile management of its own that I can fiddle with. =/

I have exactly the same issue (except Germany to Australia) and when you click on the link provided you get sent back to the German Site.

@DIY-Tracey, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

What number HP ink cartridges are you trying to use?

Keep me posted.

Hi - I managed to get into contact with the Australian instant ink group via the telephone. They provided me with a link to a HP registration form where hopefully I will get the country changed.

I found that what ever I did - I couldn’t change my country  - let’s hope the registration part of HP  solves the issue.
