My HP instant ink price changed

I signed up for 300 pages at £7.99. However, it seems to have changed to £9.99 without any warning?

Surely this is a misunderstanding as to my knowledge: "Our monthly fees remained the same for the first seven years we offered the HP Instant Ink service"

This truly is a disappointment being a long time user of HP in general and it being my first time using HP Instant Ink. I had known HP to be a more responsible company that cared for it's customers; this is definitely making me question that long held opinion.
