HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One.  When printing in the past i had to switch from my internet to the Hp printer to print anything.  Then yesterday I lost the HP printer option.  Usually my Son-in-law comes over to trouble shoot but with covid I am on my own to figure it out.  Please help.  Thank you.

Do you have a wireless router at your place?

It seems like you were using wifi-direct option to print. This is used only when you do not have access to a wireless router.

For more info on printing using wifi-direct, refer to this document - Printing with Wi-Fi Direct.

 

if you have a wireless router, follow these steps to connect the printer to the wireless router

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

 

Make sure your PC is connected to the same wireless network. Try printing.
