Hi @Bey2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer isn't printing blue even though the blue ink tank is full, there might be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Print Head Nozzles: The print head nozzles might be clogged. Run a print head cleaning cycle through the printer's maintenance menu. You can usually find this option in the printer’s settings or on the printer's software on your computer.
  • Align Print Heads: Sometimes, misalignment can cause color issues. Use the printer’s utility to align the print heads. This option is often found in the printer’s settings or maintenance menu.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the blue ink cartridge is installed correctly and that there's no protective tape still on the cartridge. Even though the tank is full, sometimes the cartridge itself can be faulty.
  • Print a Diagnostic Page: Most HP printers have an option to print a diagnostic or test page. This can help you see if the blue ink is being used at all. If the blue section of the test page is missing, it could point to an issue with the print head or ink delivery system.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
