My printer immediately stopped printing with the HP toner cartridge after I signed up for Instant Ink, but I have documents I need to print NOW. What can I do?

Hi @LB6122,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer has stopped printing after signing up for HP Instant Ink, here are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue and get your documents printed.

Check for Instant Ink Setup Issues:

  • Ensure that the Instant Ink subscription has been activated properly. Sometimes, there might be a delay in the activation process.

Verify Toner Cartridge Installation:

  • Check if the toner cartridge is installed correctly. Remove and reinsert it to make sure it’s seated properly.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Sometimes, the printer might be set to a specific mode or configuration that prevents printing. Ensure that the printer is set to "Online" mode and not in "Offline" or "Paused" status.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Check the HP website for any available updates and install them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
