New black ink cartridge won't print - nothing on test printout. Old one was the same

@why_oh_why, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I see that you are not able to print in black. Let us perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Clean the printhead up to 2 times and then print a quality report to check the result.

 

If the issue persists with more than 1 black ink cartridge, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
