HP envy 4600 series

This is the second time this has happened to me and last time it just resolved itself after a few months, but if anyone knows a quicker answer I’d love that. My black ink ran out, and I replaced it with the new cartridge that was sent to me. Immediately it tells me to remove and reinstall the black cartridge and no matter how many times I do that I continue to get the same error message. I have done all the recommended fixes on the support page with the same error message still coming up.
