Envy photo 7855
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I had to buy a new HP instant ink printer today and bought the HP ENVY photo 7855, as my old instant ink printer, HP ENVY 7640 died.   Can I somehow use the ink cartridge that was in my old printer as it still has 80% ink left in it, in the new printer?

Thank you,

Hi @mjhjnj

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

You cannot use the ink cartridges from the old printer on this new printer. Once you enroll the new printer in Instant Ink, we will send you a welcome kit with the Instant ink cartridges.

Click here to know how to enroll in Instant Ink.

Until then, you may use the regular ink cartridges that came with the new printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
