HP Instant Ink
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I am really impressed with HP, however my printer is getting tired and not working as well, Not to sound like a cheapskate but if i buy a new printer and comes with 6 months free ink will this work on my current paid Instant ink account eg pause the fee and offer the 700 pages free for 6 months or do i need to close that account and set up another one ?? Thanks

Hi @Ash1616,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you purchase a new HP printer that comes with a free 6-month Instant Ink trial, you can usually take advantage of this offer even if you have an existing Instant Ink subscription. Here’s how it generally works.

  • Add the New Printer to Your Account: Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account and add the new printer. You will be prompted to activate the 6-month free trial for the new printer.
  • Pause Your Current Plan: HP typically allows you to pause your current subscription when activating a new free trial. During this period, you won’t be charged for your existing plan, and you can use the free pages included with the new printer.
  • Reactivate Your Plan After Trial: After the 6-month trial period ends, your current paid plan will resume automatically.
  • Cancel the Old Printer (if needed): If you no longer plan to use your old printer, you can remove it from your account.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
