I have no set up cartridges with my printer as it was a display model. Will new ones work ok in it and will I have to do a manual set up for the printer?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  

Setup ink cartridges are required to initiate the printer. These are not available in local stores. You get a set of setup ink cartridges in the printer box.

Kindly check inside the printer or the printer box for the setup inks.

 

If not found, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
