My printer is not printing black ink. The cartridge is shown as being fairly full and that feels correct. I have tried the printer diagnostics more than a few times (and used quite a bit of my pages allowance). After the diagnostics including cleaning the print heads I get black for a few  pages and then it stops again. I cannot find a way to contact HP about this, which seems very much like a faulty cartridge. Any help would be appreciated.

@Dunkie, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is not printing in black. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

If the issue persists, I'm afraid the printhead has gone bad. I have sent you a private message with further information. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply.

I had tried all the diagnostic steps from your document several times. It works perfectly for a small number of pages and then the problem re-appears.  I'm afraid I gave up and have bought another printer.
