Not printing

HP Recommended

So I get an error message saying ink cartridges are not intended for this printer.  However I set up instant ink when I purchased printer. Everytime the ink has been the same and worked. However now it is not  Can anyone help?  I checked firmware updates says there arent any.  Also when I have shut it down and turned it back on it will print.  But not after it hasn't been used for a while. Unless I turn off and then back on. Tried live support but didnt follow through because they charge  Which I think is wrong.
