Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

I have 3 printers on my HP account but they are each used for different reasons (two are for separate businesses and the third is personal). All three are set up with Instant Ink.  I would like  to use a different credit card for each printer, but when I go into a particular printer to change the billing/payment method, it makes changes to my entire account. Is there any way to have different forms of payment for different printers under one account? Or do I have to cancel Instant Ink for each one and then set it back up under a new account? The virtual chat option wasn’t helpful and live chat isn’t available right now.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @SSSBHH

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Unfortunately, HP Instant Ink does not currently allow for different payment methods to be associated with different printers under one account. This means that if you have multiple printers on the same HP account, any changes you make to the payment method will apply to all printers linked to that account.

Possible Solutions:

Here are a couple of options you can consider:

1. Separate HP Accounts for Each Printer

  • Create a new HP account for each printer. Each account can have its own payment method, so you could have a different credit card for each printer.
  • This way, you can keep the billing separate for your business printers and personal printer.

I hope this helps.
