So I tried to take some prints in photos using the paper that HP provided but it is not printing well. It will smudgy as well as saturated and looks very hazy or blurry. I bought the printer a few days ago and it prints very well on A4 size paper but not on photo prints. Please Help?

@bg1994, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand you have issues with printing photos on the printer. To further isolate and resolve the issue, I'd like to know the following-

Have you tried making photocopies on the printer using photo paper?

Which application are you trying to print from?

Does the print preview look good before you send the print job to the printer?

Meanwhile, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Also, refer to the document HP Printers - How to Print Photos (Mac) to adjust the driver settings.

Keep me posted.
