Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

When the printer powers-on a cartridge enrollment message appears, when clicked the screen hangs at cartridge alignment. No access to settings possible. This is a clear software mistake by HP.

Because of the cold reset the wireless configuration is lost. You need to connect an Ethernet cable directly to your Broadband router to access internet.

Login to Instant ink, select the printer then sync the printer (the printer will now change from offline to online), from the Instant Ink screen you can select align cartridges. Once finished the Printer screen status will change from 'Hide' to OK, then you can complete cartridge alignment. You will then have access to the settings screen, disconnect Ethernet cable & configure printer for wireless (as it was lost with cold reset).

You should be good to go now!

I hope this helps as I messed around with all the HP diagnostic software, scanning printer and more for about 4 hours, my son came home & with 30mins it was all working again.

HP diagnostics & virtual help sucks badly.
