Print displays printer not available when trying to print from word on my mobile

Hi all....I have two issues....one is that my envy is trying to download something buts keeps showing unsuccessful and to retry or press OK to continue...that takes me to the home screen and all seems OK. The 2nd problem is I want to print a word document from my mobile and it just says this printer isn't available right now. Anyone know what the download is about and why its not completing and how I can print please! Im just trying to print stuff off for my kids to do,its worked for the last week....Thankyou

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

The printer could be trying to download the latest firmware.

On the printer, go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer > Check now.

 

Have you tried printing any other document/pictures/webpages from your phone and check if the issue persists?

 

Check the connection between the printer and the phone.

  • Make sure the printer and the phone are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the phone should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
