My printer has come with a printer cartridge error. It seems to be the black ink cartridge that is the problem. I have followed all the instructions to try and resolve it:
1) Taken out mains plug and replugged to restart the printer
2) Tried to update the firmware - it says it is up-to-date
3) Taken the cartridges out and re-installed them
Nothing is working, and Instant Ink says I cannot get replacement cartridges until the error is resolved.
I have contacted HP via the automated chat service, but that just says to do the above. As the warranty has expired I cannot get any further help, unless I pay £17.99 for phone call help for one issue only. I have paid this, very reluctantly, and will have to phone them tomorrow.
However, I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY, as I have been paying for instant ink for a year with the promise that I will get new cartridges when I need them, and I now feel ABANDONED! This service is absolute rubbish, my printer is now useless and only fit for the junk heap, and to boot I have been conned out of £24 for instant ink subscription for the past year and another £18 for this support call that probably won't resolve the issue. And I need the printer NOW to print out eBay postage labels, and it is coming up to Christmas, so even more urgent. A total waste of money.
Anyway, if anyone can help me URGENTLY I would be grateful. At the least I want my Instant Ink subscriptions refunded as it has not served me in any way whatsoever.
