I bought a new HP 2800 directly from HP and am on an Instant Ink subscription. The first month or so, it worked just fine. I was able to print from any device. Then, even though I didn’t not do anything different, never even turned off or unplugged the printer, and the printer still showed that it was connected to the internet, it wouldn’t print bc it said it was not connected. I couldn’t even get the on/off button to work. I’ve had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to print again, and then, after I print a few things and a few hours go by, the same thing happens again. HELP!

@Calteach, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP 2800 Printer Connectivity!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is still connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, devices can disconnect or try to connect to a nearby network that isn’t yours.
Restart Devices:
- Power off your printer and unplug it from the power source for about a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on. Restart your router as well to ensure all network equipment is functioning properly.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. This can be done through the HP Support website by looking up your model.
HP Smart App:
- Use the HP Smart App to check your printer's status and perform diagnostic tests that could identify connectivity issues.
Reset Printer Settings:
- Reset the network settings on your printer by accessing the settings via the printer’s control panel or using the HP Smart App.
Test Print Functionality:
- Print a network configuration page from your printer to determine whether it's properly connected to the network.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
