HP Photosmart 5520

I bought my HP Photosmart 5520 printer in Australia and used 564 cartridges but we have now relocated back to Scotland. I believe that 364 cartridges are used here so I bought some but it is showing incompatible cartridges. Have changed country/region to uk but still nothing.

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Print a printer status report and share the copy of it with us. To know how to print a status report refer to this video link.

 

Also, before we proceed to perform the reset, I would like to know the following:

  • Do you have a USB cable that connects the printer and the computer? It will be required to perform the regionalization.
  • What is the Operating System installed on your computer?
  • Do you have the full-featured software of the printer installed on your computer?
  • Do you have both the old and the new ink cartridges with you?
