HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a used DeskJet 2720e as my old hp printer packed up.  I subscribe to HP Instant Ink and wish to swap the new printer for the old one in my account.  However I get the message that the 'printer is enrolled to another instant ink account and cannot be enrolled yet'.  I do not know who the previous owner was, let alone their account information.  I have erased and restored to factory defaults.  Is there any way I can remove the enrolment to the previous instant ink account so I can use it via my own account?  If not, if I bought non instant ink cartidges, would that permit me to print?  Thank you

@ans12, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Unfortunately, the previous account/enrollment needs to be canceled for you to use the recently bought Deskjet 2720e printer. Since you have restored the printer to factory default, you can use standard HP cartridges and make sure you do not enable EWS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
