Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Printer has completely stopped working and I have postage I HAVE to print NOW! Updated Windows and HP Print Scan Doctor is still not working. Printer is online and plugged in through USB. I can't find any LIVE agents or phone number to help me through this emergency.

@gungadihn, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • It seems like the issue occurred after windows updates. This means the issue is not with the printer.
  • Do you get any errors while printing?
  • Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Restart the PC and the printer. Check if the USB cable is firmly connected.

 

Make sure the printer drivers are installed on the PC

Check in the device manager if the printer is listed. Also, make sure the printer is set as default printer.

Try printing.

 

If the printer driver is not installed/found, click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
