Hi,

I am giving my old printer to a family member as I have a new printer and will be cancelling the ink plan for the old one. Once they activate their own instant ink plan will they be able to use the spare instant ink carriages I had for the printer or will they have to wait for new ones to be delivered ?

thanks in advance.

Hi @KNCKIREAE,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand need help with your Instant Ink Account. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Once you cancel your Instant Ink account from the old printer, you will have to return the old instant ink cartridges back to HP.  Make sure you delete the printer from your account so they can enroll.

They have to use the new inks sent by the HP Instant Ink team once they enroll.

You may refer to this document: HP Instant Ink - Manage your account

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
