I cannot print out the code from the printer since I ran out of ink. I just enrolled into instant ink

Personally, I'm not aware there is an alternative to printing out the code -- things might have changed.

What else?

 Assuming you do manage to sign up -- please do read about the service first -- the first ink shipment can take time to arrive.  Last I read, the lead time was approximately ten days -- Depending on where you are and the circumstances (weather, mail delivered by horse and carriage), first delivery might take two weeks.

Consider purchasing a set of HP ink cartridges to use now.
