purchased new ink cartridge for my  HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 .

It printed 1 page then the printer stopped printing anything , from any source.

Check Cartridge Installation:

Verify Ink Cartridge Protection Tape Removal:

  • Make sure that any protective tape or plastic covering the ink cartridges has been removed.

Clean Printhead:

  • Access the printer's maintenance settings through the control panel and select the option to clean the printhead. This can help resolve issues with the print quality and printing process.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages or blinking lights on the printer. Refer to the user manual or HP support website for specific error code explanations and solutions.

Print a Test Page:

  • Try printing a test page from the printer’s menu to see if it will print anything. This can help diagnose if the issue is with the printer or the specific document you’re trying to print.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there is any firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes updates can fix bugs or compatibility issues.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Printer Connections:
