Printer says I have ink but I dont - HP instant ink

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer status shows I have some black ink remaining but I definitely don't.  I've taken the cartridge out and shaken it etc multiple times. My printer is connected to wifi 24/7.  I'm enrolled in Instant Ink but they won't send me another black cartridge because its saying theres still ink.  Please help.  I haven't been able to print black for a couple months now.

The document here has information on contacting HP to get replacement Instant Ink cartridges.  Log into the HP Instant Ink site, the phone number (or chat option for some countries) will be listed in the lower right of the opening screen.

 

BTW, shaking the cartridge is not helpful - the ink is held in foam so you would not hear ink sloshing around, but if you shake the cartridge you can cause ink to be expelled or cause air to be injested in the cartridge.
