Says printer not printing and to get help go to hpinstantink.com then wants $49 to try and fix locked printer.

Sounds odd.

Instant Ink is a Print-by-Page subscription.

There are certain cartridge errors that might result in the "go to" message.

Once at the legitimate Instant Ink Website,

I am not aware of a "$49 repair" option for general printer issues.
