Absolutely disgusted. I have been getting charged £2.99, most months since march. £1 for retrying to take the payment out of my account. Then now I have had no choice but to cancel the subscription. I have my own cartridges in there and it won’t even let me use them. It keeps saying error. I can’t even help do my child’s homework. I am sick of HP .
I want my money back. I have received 1 set of cartridges since I have bought this printer (march). So why am I getting charged ??

Hi @Ny83,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your HP DeskJet 4120e All-In-One Printer. I understand that you have been charged £2.99 most months since March, and £1 for retrying to take the payment out of your account. You have also cancelled the subscription, but the printer won’t let you use your own cartridges and keeps showing an error message. I can imagine how frustrating this must be for you, especially when you need to help your child with homework.
Based on the information you provided, it seems like there are two issues here: the subscription charges and the error message when using your own cartridges.
As for the error message when using your own cartridges, it could be due to several reasons such as the cartridges being incompatible or not properly installed.
- Unplug and restart your printer.
- Check cables or wireless connection.
- Uninstall and reinstall your printer.
- Install the latest driver for your printer.
- Open the HP Smart app, and then open Diagnose & Fix. Click the Diagnose & Fix icon in the bottom left corner (Windows) or select Diagnose & Fix from the Printers menu (macOS). Click Start.
I hope this helps you resolve the issues you’re facing with your printer.
Take care and have a good day.
