Printing from computer gives too low contrast

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 4520
macOS 10.14 Mojave

When I want to print something from my mac, like some PowerPoints with pictures, in black and white, the printed page is always too high in contrast so that the images can not be seen well. When I change the contrast settings from the printer, it only works from printing trhougs the scanner, from a another page, but not from the computer. The images are almost not visible (only black lines).

Hi @Katiahn

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

Would you be able to share an image of the printed page so I can help you better, make sure the image does not contain any personal information?

Meanwhile, set print quality to best and check if that helps.

Adjust print quality: Click Media & Quality, and then move the Quality slider to the desired setting.

Refer to -Print Settings Guide (Mac)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
