I have received three times the wrong cartridges which are larger than my original cartridges. When installing the new larger ones I get an carriage jam notification and I can’t print. I have contacted HP instant ink support twice and they keep sending me the wrong cartridges. I can’t print!!! How can I receive the correct cartridges??

I am a HP Instant Ink customer already and do not want another name.  [Personal Information Removed]

 

I received 2 instant ink cartridges about 2 weeks ago that do not fit in my HP 3830 printer which i tried to unsuccessfully use.  The body of the wrong ones is somewhat larger than the HP63 XL units I have previously received from Amazon, but the look identical.  Do you want the wrong ones back?  The plastic is open bult no ink has been used since they do NOT fit. I spent ~ 2 hrs on the issue and got several ink spots on a sweatshirt

I understand you are facing an issue with your Instant Ink Cartridges. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

To answer your question: HP Instant Ink cartridges are XL ink cartridges that are big but would fit the printer perfectly. 

 

If you are facing a carriage jam then I would suggest you follow the steps mentioned in this document:  HP Printers - Carriage jam or E3 error

 

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
  • Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
