Replacement of damaged HP Instant Iink cartridge (bottom of the copper bits burnt)

Hello,

I am posting because I noticed an ink cartridge error on my printer for the black cartridge. I checked which steps should I take via the virtual agent and removed the black ink cartridge but I noticed that there was damage on the bottom of the copper bits, like it had burnt (see attached picture hereunder).

 It's not been taken out previously and I have had no problems. I am unable to get a replacement via HP Instant Ink, as it stipulates that I need to solve the cartridge error problem before any replacement ink can be sent. However,  I cannot fix the error as the cartridge is damaged, so I need a new one. Please, could you help me on the way to solve this issue?
