Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I received a call from "HP Support" tonight from this number{**bleep** area code}. Very nice gentleman who was very knowledgeable and helpful.  With so many scams going around I felt it necessary to ask the community if this has happened to you.  I was to only call the above number for assistance in the future???

Hi:

 

Most likely it was a scam call.

 

No one from HP will ever cold call you and ask if you need help, or that 'they discovered a problem' with your PC or printer.

 

And they can 'spoof' their caller ID to make it look like the call is coming from HP.

 

Any contact that you need to make with HP should be initiated from their support site:
