Switched off now instant ink cancelled

I registered and installed my new printer yesterday.  It worked perfectly.   Last night I switched it off. 

On switching on this morning, message - 'Instant ink cancelled. Your printer is no longer enrolled in HP instant ink.  It can continue to use HP instant ink ready cartridges but not HP instant ink program cartridges '. 

Should I not of switched it off? 

Am I no longer on a 7 month free in trial? 

What does this message mean?
