The printer isn’t accepting the new ink cartridges. I tried cleaning the contacts as suggested. I’ve tried all other suggested remedies to no avail. Looking for possible options. The printer is at least 5 years old.

What is the exact error message?

Insert one ink cartridge at a time to identify the defective ink cartridge.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge.

 

If the issue persists, this could be a hardware issue with the new ink cartridge or the printer itself. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
