Every single day, in locations all over the world, HP sells printers - thousands of printers and dozens of models.
Although similar across inkjet printers, for example, the steps to check / fix quality issues may differ according to the printer model. Laser Printers are different than inkjet printers, too, and might require methods more adapted to the "toner" environment.
For example, quality issues might include (and not be limited to): dirt or ink build-up (in the printer), use of ink that is in some way not working correctly, incorrect choice of paper (or using supported paper), incorrect settings (for example, using Best Quality where normal quality might be a better choice).
Look for help for your printer:
Open Support Home
Enter the name of your device
When the website support page opens, Select a Category
For example,
Select Category Troubleshooting
Select Topic Printing
Subject List Print Quality
Find and select the document to help you resolve problems with quality.
For example, the document may be named something similar to:
- Black ink not printing and other print quality issues
- Print Quality
Know that print and scan are completed using different mechanical actions.
There is a bit of overlap, though, and the following might be found in Topic Scan
HP Printers - Improving Scan Quality
