Hi @Kittenlittle,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To transfer ownership of your HP printer and associated HP account to the new owner, you should follow these steps.

  1. Delete the Printer from your HP Account:

    • Log in to your HP account on the HP website.
    • Navigate to the "My Devices" or a similar section.
    • Locate the printer you sold and remove it from your account. This action will disassociate the printer from your account.
  2. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:

    • On the printer's control panel or through the printer's settings menu, find the option to reset the printer to factory settings.
    • Performing a factory reset will erase any stored information and configurations, including the association with your HP account.
  3. Provide New Owner with Instructions:

    • Give the new owner any necessary information about the printer, including the model, serial number, and any setup instructions that might be required.
  4. Hand Over Cartridges:

    • If the printer came with cartridges, you can physically provide them to the new owner.
  5. New Owner's Setup:

    • Instruct the new owner to set up the printer as if it were a new device. This may involve connecting it to their Wi-Fi network, installing drivers, and any other necessary setup steps.
  6. Check Cartridge Compatibility:

    • Ensure that the cartridges are compatible with the new owner's printer model. Some printers may use specific cartridges, so it's important to check compatibility.

By following these steps, you should be able to transfer ownership of the printer and cartridges seamlessly

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
