Product: HP ENVY 5032
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Screen says: Tray Open - A paper tray is open.  Close the tray to continue.  I've done all the steps.  the printer should not be saying this.  THE TRAY IS CLOSED.

On the paper tray, you have one part that presses switch when the tray is closed so the printer know that tray is closed. If that part gets broken, the printer thinks the paper tray is open, and the fix is the new paper tray.

 

I'm unable to find a foto of the tray so I can point you to that part that gets brokes so I can't explain it better.
