My HP Smart app had a 'Try Instant Ink Free' button, so I thought I would give it a go.
Went through all the options, added my Card Details, and looks like I am now enrolled in Instant Ink and will be getting some cartridges' soon.
However no mention of trying for free, so was this just a con to get me to sign up, or have I missed something ?

Instant Ink is not a "con" -- that said, the Instant Ink Print-by-Page service is more complicated than some people realize going in.
You can get all the information you need from the website and the multitude of online documents.
