Hi @Krage,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you are dealing with a couple of issues with your HP printer, specifically around reconnecting it after a long period of disuse, concerns about warranty status, and issues with expired ink from the HP Instant Ink service.

Here are some steps you can follow to address these issues:

Reconnecting Your Printer:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to a power source and turned on.
  • Check the connectivity between your printer and your computer. You can do this via USB or over your Wi-Fi network. For Wi-Fi, make sure both your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
  • Install or update the necessary drivers for your printer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website by searching for your printer model.

Expired Ink:

  • HP Instant Ink cartridges are programmed to stop working when your subscription ends or is canceled, or when they are "expired" according to their system. If you wish to continue using your HP printer, you will need to purchase new ink cartridges that are not linked to the HP Instant Ink program.
  • You can buy these cartridges from any major retailer or directly from the HP store online.

Warranty and Service:

  • If your printer says it has no warranty, it's likely because the standard warranty period has expired. HP typically offers a one-year warranty, which can expire if the printer has not been used or registered for an extended period.

Software and Updates:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
