Hi Team,

I just got the printer from my friend and  I try to set up Instant ink. I got the Claim id[Private information removed]. But when I try to use this claim Id I am getting error "Printer claimed on another account."

Please help me to setup Instant Ink.

Thanks,

@Shri31, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If the printer is already registered with one HP account, it has to be removed by the previous user so that you may create a new user account.

To know how to cancel Instant Ink, refer to this document.

Once done, Press the wireless and cancel button together for 3 seconds and release it.

Connect the printer to your wireless network, using the WPS method as shown in this document.

  • Press the Information button and the Cancel button at the same time to print instructions. If the printed page does not contain an ePrint address and printer claim code, follow the instructions on the printed page to enable Web Services. After you enable Web Services, a page titled "Congratulations" prints with the ePrint address and printer claim code.

If the "Congratulations" page has only an ePrint address (no printer claim code), the printer was previously claimed to another HP Smart account (formerly HP Connected). Print the printer information sheet by pressing the Information button , and locate the printer IP address on the printed page. Enter the printer IP address in a web browser and navigate to the "Web Services" section of the web page. Remove and then re-enable web services. A page titled “Congratulations” prints with your printer claim code.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
