Which printer do you have? If you have an HP + printer, those also require a constant network connection.
If you only have instant ink then yes you can cancel your subscription. Keep in mind that any cartridges that have been used for instant ink will not work once you cancel your subscription and you will need to purchase some retail cartridges.
